My name is Barbara Norton and I am a candidate for State House District 21 in East Anchorage.
Thirty two years ago I became a nurse to help people. I want to take the lessons I've learned to Juneau to help the people of Alaska. For the past 15 years I've owned and managed a small business which has grown over the years. There are now 8 employees and 4 midwives and collectively, we have helped over 2,000 Alaskan women give birth here in Anchorage. Starting and running a successful business has taught me many things, the most important being how to offer a high quality service at a lower cost.
This is a lesson I'd like to take to Juneau.
